About Baselete

More room for movement in everyday childhood.

Children need opportunities to move, play and try things. Families need those opportunities to fit everyday life. Baselete brings guided movement games to community and school settings, starting in Hyderabad.

Why we started

Enjoying an activity is one thing. Getting there is another.

Travel, waiting and evening schedules can make even an enjoyable activity difficult to sustain. When attendance becomes hard, it does not necessarily mean a child has lost interest.

Baselete starts closer to everyday life: places where children already spend time, with playful activities and people there to guide them.

A note from our founder

Why I started Baselete.

Karunakar KadariFounder, Baselete

In my own life and conversations with parents around me, I kept noticing how much effort it takes to keep children involved in an activity. Travel, waiting and evening schedules can make something worthwhile difficult to sustain.

I wanted to explore a different starting point: movement and play closer to where children already spend their time, with guidance that helps them practise and try again.

That is what we are building with Baselete—a broad movement foundation before children choose a sport, through games they enjoy and Captains who guide them.

The people behind the play.

Baselete Captains lead the sessions: demonstrating movements, offering encouragement and helping children understand the next challenge.

  • Prepare the activities, space and equipment.
  • Explain movements clearly and adjust challenges to readiness.
  • Notice participation and movement from each child’s starting point.
